Domiciliary care is a long-term package of care that is delivered within someone’s own home. For us we deliver this type of care to vulnerable adults within the community and our aim is to provide the best care possible. We understand that being cared for in your own home, for most, is the preferred option and therefore we are always seeking ways to improve our services as we believe quality is of upmost importance, and feedback is key to ensuring we continually build upon existing practices.

We currently operate one Domiciliary care service and that is from our Cannock branch. The areas this branch covers are Wombourne, Codsall, Cannock, Chadsmoor, Hednesford, Heath hayes, Norton Canes, Burntwood, Rugeley and Uttoxeter.  Our Cannock branch has been running its services since 2011 and currently serves 120+ vulnerable adults in the community. The services domiciliary care provides includes personal care, cleaning, shopping, medication support, meal preparation and much more….

Our Cannock branch also offer a Sitting call, Let’s all admit, caring for someone full time can be exhausting and the reason we provide this service is for just that, if the service users close relatives would like to have “some time off” then our wonderful staff will sit with the service user and care for them while the relatives get that time away ensuring complete peace of mind.

Nexxus care are a part of Staffordshire County Council framework of preferred providers, when a need is identified for care within an individual’s home this is presented to all framework providers. If Nexxus can accommodate the commissioned hours safely and effectively, we have certain processes we follow

See below what can be expected:

1. An initial phone call would be made for an introduction.

2.  A senior care worker will make arrangements for a suitable date and time to attend the individual’s home. During this visit, a fully personalised care plan will be developed with the person requiring care and family members / advocates if necessary.

3. The care plan is completed digitally, allowing instant access for the local office team to be able to schedule our care team effectively ensuring all needs are met. Please Note – Only designated care workers have immediate access to key records inclusive of care plan, medication records etc and are able to commence the care required utilising the care plan. Family members, where consent is gained, will also be offered access to these records.

4. Our care will begin.

We appreciate that you may want more individual information on Cannock Branch. This is why we have created separate information pages which can be accessed below:
