Silver Birch itself provides respite accommodation with personal care for adults with learning disabilities & Autism, there are 5 individual spacious bedrooms, all having their own en suite facilities (WC & Hand Basin). There are 2 separate assisted bathrooms, the bathrooms are designed to provide appropriate support to people with physical disabilities, they are spacious, have a high/low adjustable bath (electric), WC, wash basin and also an area to shower, they house any other additional equipment required for example, bathing beds and shower chairs, both of the assisted bathrooms have installed, a ceiling tracking hoist that supports people with physical disabilities to safely access the bathrooms and the bathing facilities. Each area and bedrooms are equipped with call bells to alert support.

There is 1 management office located within the building, a separate quiet lounge/ games/activities room fitted with a ceiling tracking hoist, a medication and records storage room. Within the management office, there is a sleep in area for staff that has en suite facilities that provides accommodation for the staff to remain on site throughout the night hours. The whole of the service is spacious, offering lobby areas and how the design is, it enables the clients to have a great amount of privacy should they so choose as but is not isolating to them. Operationally, the service provides short break accommodation along with support to people with varying abilities and disabilities, each individual will have an assessment of their needs undertaken by their social worker.

The kitchen features adjustable surfaces so that visitors can take part in the preparation and cooking of fresh dishes. A ceiling tracking hoist system is also used to cover this space. The breakfast bar in the dining room is lowered so that it is accessible to all. Not only this but the dining room can also seat 10 people comfortably ensuring no one is left out.

Our Stunning Garden

The spacious garden is accessible and features seating places, raised flower beds, herb beds, and a vegetable patch. In the summer, BBQs and parties are held here and it is loved by all. The length of the property is taken up by the front garden, which features a beautiful Silver Birch tree.
