Bracken House is a residential care home for vulnerable adults with dementia from early diagnosis of Dementia up to the advanced stages. Bracken House is located in Burntwood and was originally built in 1968. It Caters for up to 34 adults, 4 of these beds are respite for planned or emergency use. Bracken is in a residential area with shops and transport links close by. We make our clients feel comfortable by providing well-equipped facilities and an excellent team of staff which make sure all residents individual needs are met.

Our communal areas include large lounges, dining rooms and quiet areas. We give our residents a friendly and homely atmosphere at Bracken, and we will continue to provide that service.

Facilities

The property features thirty-four well-appointed roomy bedrooms four of which are respite for planned or emergency use. Some of these rooms feature ceiling track hoist systems.

Within Bracken House there is a kitchen with a team of staff who provide daily meals for the residents within Bracken House. There are three households within Bracken these include Rose, Elder and the Bracken lounges. Each household contains a lounge and a small kitchen, which is wonderful for encouraging residents to become more independent and for providing a small dining area in case residents don’t want to socialise in our main dining room.
Accessibility isn’t an issue at Bracken house as a lift situates itself in the centre of the building ensuring residents that struggle with mobility can get from the ground floor to the first floor with ease.

Bracken house allows a lot of natural light through its big windows creating a homely and happy atmosphere. the extremely spacious lounge and dining area has been created to be bright, airy, and comforting. Residents can utilise the completely accessible garden just around the corner from this room.


Our Stunning Garden


Our garden is nicely designed to ensure accessibility can be met by all. The garden also features elevated flower and herb beds and let’s not forget the numerous seating areas.

We’re in a quiet residential area of Cannock.

There are lots of supermarkets nearby, including Asda, Aldi, Waitrose and Morrisons.

There are a number of GP surgeries, dentists and opticians within a few miles of the service.

The bus stop is a few minutes walk away and has connections to Cannock, Walsall and Wolverhampton.

Cannock train station is a five minute drive away with direct trains to Birmingham and Rugeley Trent Valley.

There is on-site parking available for people with cars.


Activities


We provide meaningful activities for all our residents hosted by our in-house activity’s coordinator, using a structured designed plan to accommodate individual interests and personal hobbies. In-between the various activities we host, residents can also take advantage of our interactive RITA (Reminiscence/Rehabilitation & Interactive Therapeutic Activities) system.
