Beacon Park is a large retirement living scheme that is open for anyone over 55 to apply to move into when apartments become available. However, elements of this retirement scheme include the delivery of care, and all rental applicants are reviewed by a panel which consists of the housing and care providers and the Local Authority Therefore, it is marked as an extra care scheme. Nexxus Care tuped over to its services recently in 2023. Beacon Park is quite a new building and was recently built in 2005.

Although, the service we provide within our extra care schemes is similar to the way we run our Domiciliary care service. Referrals are dealt with in a different way. When a new individual moves into an apartment at Beacon Park the housing provider assesses that individual to understand whether or not they will need care to be provided. Once a need is identified depending on that individuals circumstances the housing provider comes to us to see if we have the capacity to take on that call. If Nexxus can accommodate the hours safely and effectively, we will commence care as soon as possible (N.B. Subject to pre-admission assessments). We can take on any package of care whether it is through brokerage or private.
The bus stop is just outside of the building and can take you to many places in and around Lichfield.
